Wayburne Pre-school website

Welcome to our website. Wayburne Pre-school is a well-equipped kindergarten set in pleasant surroundings overlooking a leafy reserve and bike track.

Established in 1967, the kindergarten moved into its current premises at the beginning of 1971 and has an excellent reputation in the Monash area.

Indoors the environment is bright and stimulating with much of the children’s art work on display and a variety of activities set out to capture the children’s interest. Similarly, outdoors there is a large playground with lots of climbing equipment and other items to encourage imaginative play.

Recent additions to the playground include a beautiful sensory garden, a wooden stage for impromptu concerts, edging to the digging patch and a shade sail over the swing frame.

Wayburne has become an increasingly multi-cultural pre-school with families from many different countries such as China, Vietnam, Malaysia, India and Sri Lanka. We welcome this cultural diversity and try to incorporate some aspects into our programs.

Wayburne is recognized by the Anti-Cancer Council as an accredited SunSmart Centre. There is ample shade provided by the trees and shade sails. SPF30+ sunscreen is also available at the kindergarten.
